Los Angeles County Measure A Housing Ballot Initiative
Economic and Impact Analysis Briefing Book
October 2024
When L.A. County voters considered Measure A, a half-cent sales tax projected to generate $1.2 billion annually for homelessness services and affordable housing, The Angeleno Project needed a compelling, clearly communicated briefing book to build public understanding and support. The resulting document presents a rigorous economic and impact analysis, showing how Measure A could support 25,800 jobs annually, generate $3.1 billion in economic output, produce over 18,000 new affordable units over ten years, and provide homelessness and mental health services to 15,600 individuals each year, while more than doubling the funding previously provided by Measure H. Designed in close alignment with The Angeleno Project's brand standards, the color palette is warm, approachable, and consistent with the organization's identity, lending the document a sense of credibility and accessibility that makes dense data feel digestible and urgent, giving voters the clear, trustworthy information they needed to make an informed decision on this critical measure.
